Brief history of Gunners Training Area or Sagor Par Becah
BA-1558 Brigadier General Mohammad Hasan Nasir, NBC, PSC the then Commandant Artillery Center and Bhul, considering the space-constrained future deployment area and other training issues, first planned a large-scale training area under the Artillery Center and School in 2006 and in 2008 Acquired 42.50 acres of land as long term lease for 19 years.
After a long period of disuse, B5-3584 Brigadier General AKM Iqbal Azim, NDC, PLC, G+, PhD took the initiative to refit it for training and constructed a second storey training shed. Later, BA-4142 Brigadier General AKM Manjurul Haque Mayumdar, NDC, AFWC, PSC, G, MPhil took the initiative to develop the entire Kayakati as a specialized training area.
